ADMINISTRATIVE and CLINICAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT
This full program prepares medical assistant students to perform patient administrative and clinical skills in a variety of health care settings. Graduates are trained in both administrative and clinical procedures and able to work as Medical Assistants in both front and back office.
Students perform administrative and clinical procedures including administering medications, obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, educating patients, and maintaining clinical equipment, filling out insurance forms, answering phones, and scheduling patients.
Upon successful completion of the Administrative and Clinical Medical Assistant program, you will have the skills necessary to gain employment in a number of capacities, including in physician offices, clinics, chiropractor offices, and outpatient facilities.
The occupational outlook handbook states that employment of medical assistants is expected to grow 30 percent from 2012 to 2022, much faster than the national average.
